📊 Today's AT Jewels Signal06 October 2026 · 8:15 AM IST
Gold (24K)
→ Sideways
Gold eased a little overnight as a firm dollar and high US bond yields kept a lid on it, but it is still holding its recent range. Expect a quiet, two-sided day ahead of Wednesday's US Fed minutes and the RBI decision.
Confidence: ●●●●● Low
Silver
→ Sideways
Silver slipped back toward its recent floor on the stronger dollar. It swings more than gold, so we are staying cautious and looking for a broadly range-bound day.

What this means for you: This is a plain directional read for families buying for a wedding or festival — not a trading buy/sell tip. Buy by your need and date, in parts. Not investment advice; AT Jewels' live counter rate is the billing price.

Good morning — here is your gold and silver update for 06 October 2026.

In short (06 October 2026): 24K gold is around ₹1,48,400/10g and 22K around ₹1,36,000/10g; silver is about ₹2,30,000/kg. Prices eased a touch overnight as a strong US dollar and high American bond yields weighed on bullion, though festive demand and a soft rupee are cushioning rupee prices — so the near-term read is broadly sideways. These are indicative India reference levels — AT Jewels' live counter rate is the billing price.

What is moving the market this week

Two forces are pulling in opposite directions. On one side, the US dollar has climbed to a roughly 14-week high and long-dated American bond yields are near their highest in two decades — both make gold costlier to hold and have capped every rally lately. That is why bullion slipped a little overnight. On the other side, last week's soft US jobs data has all but taken an October Fed hike off the table, and here at home the festive-season buying plus a rupee near record lows are keeping rupee prices supported.

The big dates are Wednesday: the US Federal Reserve releases its meeting minutes and the RBI announces its rate decision on the same day. Until then, most traders are likely to sit on their hands, which usually means a calm, range-bound tape rather than a big move either way.

The near-term view

For now this looks like a sideways market for both metals — gold holding its recent band and silver chopping around near its floor, with silver as always the more jumpy of the two. If you are buying for a wedding or a festival, the sensible approach has not changed: buy by your need and your date, split a larger purchase into parts rather than timing a single day, and do not chase a green morning or panic on a red one. This is general guidance for buyers, not a trading call, and nobody can promise where prices head next.

Frequently asked

What is the gold rate today in India?
24K gold is around ₹1,48,400 per 10g and 22K around ₹1,36,000 per 10g (indicative). Your final price depends on making charges, GST and AT Jewels' live counter rate at the time of billing.

What is the silver rate today?
Silver is about ₹2,30,000 per kg (indicative) today.

Will gold prices go up or down this week?
The read is broadly sideways for now: a strong dollar and high US yields are capping gold, while festive demand and a weak rupee support it, with Wednesday's US Fed minutes and RBI decision the next big triggers. Nobody can be certain which way it breaks, so buy by your need rather than trying to time the market.
